Funds are limited & the program is on a first-come-first-serve basis!

 Program Details

• Must be a first-time homebuyer (or not have owned a home in the past three years)
• The home must be located within eligible areas*
• Maximum purchase price is $200,160
• Assistance available for up to $20,000 (down payment and closing cost)**
• Buyer must obtain a loan within 30 days of qualifying for the program
• The home must remain the principal residence of the buyer

Household gross income limits for borrowers apply:

CITY OF PEARLAND

CITY OF CLEVELAND, CITY OF BAYTOWN, GALVESTON COUNTY, CHAMBERS COUNTY & WALLER COUNTY 

Can also be used in conjunction with TDHCA BOND 77 Program

with credit scores as low as 620!

Borrower must meet qualification criteria. *Eligible areas include: Cities of Pearland, Huntsville, Cleveland, Baytown or the Counties of Galveston (expect City of Galveston), Matagorda, Wharton, Austin, Waller & Chambers. **The assistance is in the form of a deferred loan forgiven at 20% per year over a five year period if the assistance is less than $15,000.  If the assistance is $15,000 or more, the deferred loan is forgiven at 10% per year over a ten year period.  The funds can be used for the required down payment, to set up escrow account and pay closing costs. Any excess may go towards additional down payment.
